Activities at the castle/park

The castle park covers an area of around 18,000 m² and is a playground of life: whether chilling and relaxing under old trees, pushing your limits in the climbing park, or enjoying sensory surprises on the spine and foot trail—nature always broadens our minds. Awarded the European Accessibility Award, Retzhof is an entirely barrier-free educational centre open to everyone. Outdoors, too: the adventure stations, from archery to the high ropes course, can also be used by people with disabilities.

Activity programme

Schools, youth groups, companies and clubs

We will create a “tailor-made” educational programme for you. We offer a combination of experiential education, creativity and sport with themed content workshops. We promote experiencing fundamental values of living together, such as respect, team spirit and solidarity. Group sports and shared experiences offer an excellent opportunity for this.

In the surrounding area

Its location also makes Retzhof attractive as an educational centre, seminar and event venue, as well as accommodation for excursion and tour groups. Nestled in the South Styria Nature Park, it is a wonderful place to set off, arrive and enjoy: the South Styrian Wine Road begins right on the doorstep, and the best way to go from wine tavern to wine tavern or from wine cellar to wine cellar is by bike—or with a backpack.
