Interreg is one of the European Union’s most important funding programs for strengthening cross-border cooperation. The goal is to develop common solutions for current societal challenges and to promote exchange between regions, institutions, and people across national borders.
As an educational center, Retzhof sees itself as a place for encounter, learning, and networking. Together with partner organizations from Austria and neighboring countries, we develop and support innovative projects in the fields of education, culture, sustainability, and regional development.
Through workshops, professional events, international encounters, and educational offerings, we create spaces for dialogue, mutual learning, and new collaborations. In this way, we make an active contribution to making Europe a tangible experience in everyday life and sustainably strengthening cross-border exchange.

KulturImpuls SIAT
SIAT KulturImpuls is a cross-border Interreg project that strengthens cultural cooperation between Austria and Slovenia and sets new impulses for the shared cultural area. Together with our project partners, we develop innovative cultural offerings, promote exchange between art, education, and society, and create new networking opportunities. The heart of the project consists of a bilingual volume of poetry, cross-border art projects, a digital platform for cultural practitioners, as well as international professional events and educational offerings. Additionally, the Atelier Retzhof is being established at Retzhof as a new creative meeting and workspace. The project concludes with a cross-border cultural festival taking place simultaneously in Austria and Slovenia, highlighting the region’s cultural diversity. KulturImpuls SIAT demonstrates how cultural cooperation builds bridges and promotes sustainable development in our shared living space.
