Area and houses
There are two guesthouses on the site, the Retzhof castle with nine seminar rooms, a high rope course and a health-care path.
The barrier-free and accessible guesthouse with the reception is directly connected to the Retzhof Castle via a weather-protected bridge without steps or thresholds.
An elevator is located next to the reception (area of 140x110cm).
This guesthouse has 21 barrier-free single rooms and six barrier-free double rooms on two floors with a lift.
The second guesthouse (house on the left, seen from the parking lot) can be reached via steps and has three floors.
It offers 14 comfortable single rooms, 13 comfortable double rooms and one quadruple room.
The seminar, conference and group rooms as well as the tavern are located in the castle. There is an elevator there too (area of 94 x 105 cm).
The buildings are connected stepless via paved paths. These paths have tactile edges or are easily recognizable by touch.
There are tactile safety lines in front of the main entrances.
The entire property of the Retzhof is provided with WiFi throughout.
The reception is located on the ground floor of the barrier-free guesthouse (right house, seen from the parking lot) - 30m from the parking lots.
The way from the car park to the reception is stepless - at the beginning with a slight incline - easily accessible for a wheelchair, rollator or with a stroller.
The entrance to the reception consists of automatic doors.
For late arrivals there is an accessible key safe on the right in front of the entrance to the barrier-free guest house. The operating height is 110 cm.
The reception is on the left and has a sunken area for wheelchair-user.
In the reception area there is a tactile edge that leads to the stairs. The stairs have handrails on both sides.
The doors have a high-contrast design and the room numbers are tactile.
The side approachability of the room door inside is 35cm.
The showers and toilets are barrier-free.
Support rails are available in some rooms. There is an angled grab rail in the shower and toilet.
The upper edge of the bed frame is 50 cm.
The beds can be driven under with a lifter (height = 23 cm)
In the event of a fire, deaf people in both guest houses are alerted by radio technology.
Seminar and group rooms
There are nine seminar rooms of various sizes (50 - 90 m²) in the castle building.
Also the "multifunctional room" (100 m²) is accessible with the wheelchair.
The pedestrian leaf has a clearance of 70cm.
All seminar rooms are acoustically optimized and steplessly accessible.
The antique wing doors can both be opened if necessary.
An induction system can be activated in two seminar rooms.
All seminar rooms are equipped with the latest seminar technology.
The house also offers its guests a test room (for about 10 people) to experience virtual reality.
Eat, drink and celebrate
In the inner courtyard of the castle building there is a guest garden and a tavern that can be reached without steps.
The tavern is available to guests around the clock (self-service from 7.30 p.m.).
The entrance door has an electric door opener (operation by button).
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here.
If required, we will be happy to support you at the buffet.
The courtyard is paved with cobblestones. The arcades are easy to roll over.
When it comes to eating and drinking, we try to cater according to your nutritional needs as best as we can. So let us know your wishes and needs in good time.
There is a wine cellar in the courtyard of the chateau building. This offers space for about 25 people and can be rented. It is not steplessly accessible.
Barrier-free toilet facilities
In the barrier-free guest house there are barrier-free toilets on every floor. There is also a barrier-free toilet in the inner courtyard of the castle.
Park, climbing garden and outdoor activities
The house is surrounded by a park that is easy to drive on and walk on with a spine course and a climbing garden.
Depending on the form and degree of the disability, this can be used without barriers. We would be happy to advise you on this.
All outdoor activities of the house are accompanied by a trained specialist staff.
Our outdoor activities can be designed and carried out individually and inclusively according to the wishes and needs of the region - depending on the form and degree of the disability.
